Will Disney exploit Fox Searchlight and FX for the service? Will franchises like Kingsman, Planet of the Apes, and Alien take center stage over at Hulu? I’m still curious to see Disney’s approach to the future of Hulu. Will they eventually add a Fox banner? What about Blue Sky Studios? Do you really put Avatar and The Simpsons under Disney? I guess we can assume The Muppets will fall under Disney even though some could easily argue that they have enough content (if Disney bought the rights back) to hold their own section. Will Disney rebrand the Star Wars section to Lucasfilm? Especially if the company creates more Indiana Jones related content. So what happens when Ice Age, The Simpsons, Indiana Jones, and Fox’s Marvel universe enter Disney+? The Simpsons being on there showcases that Disney is not taking Hulu in the direction we were thinking and that Disney is truly embracing Fox as a studio banner. Also, some other fun things that I noticed is that on Investor Day we only saw some family-friendly Fox films and we didn’t see a lot of Blue Sky Studio films showcased.įox properties will be integrated into Disney+ eventually. ![]() Until Disney announced that The Simpsons would be streaming on Disney+. It’s interesting to note that National Geographic is the only Fox brand in the Disney banner. Then there is a focus on Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic.
